Phoenix Rising offers a natural and holistic approach to medicine, which promotes healing and wellness through Ancient Chinese Arts of Acupuncture, Tui Na Massage, Qi Gong, Chinese Food Therapy, Chinese Astrology and more! I look forward to seeing Lydia at her clinic. The space is warm and cosy and she is super friendly and I feel very comfortable and relaxed in her company.

I have acupuncture or Tui Massage, depending on what I need on the day and she is always very accommodating. She is extremely knowledgeable and always explains the theory in great detail which I love as its a subject of great interest for me. I feel very safe with her and have had a lot of positive change as a result of my treatments and also practising the exercises I have learned from her Qi Gong classes which she runs weekly in Southbourne.

I really can't recommend her enough. Lydia is an extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and intuitive practitioner. She is also a lovely person and I have always felt thoroughly safe and cared-for during my treatment sessions.

Tui Na is more than just a "massage" - It is one of the four main branches of Chinese Medicine (alongside Acupuncture, Herbal and Food therapy Medicine and Qi Gong).
Tui Na is a form of bodywork and a subtle energy medicine which encompasses acupressure, massage techniques, assisted stretching and joint mobilisations or adjustments of which is all based of the key medical principles and diagnostics of the Classics of Chinese Medicine.
Tui Na is a whole medical system that can be used to treat the whole body using the principles of Chinese Medicine, with Tongue, Pulse and consultation used to diagnose.
You can expect safe, effective, compassionate and confidential care from fully qualified master practitioner Lydia Edwards.
Acupuncture works on the philosophy that the human body has energy channels that are most commonly known as meridians.
Energy, known as qi (pronounced chi), should flow freely through these channels but if the qi becomes deficient or blocked, we can suffer from unpleasant symptoms and become unhealthy.
Traditional and Ancient Chinese Acupuncture is performed by inserting very fine, sterile, disposable needles into the body's acu-points which are located on the meridians.
