We always endeavour to get you back to optimum health as soon as possible and should we ever feel you may benefit from another health professional we will always refer you on, appropriately. We enjoy close relationships with other medical professionals with regular referrals between local doctors, specialists and physiotherapists. Many people associate osteopathy with back pain but in fact it is a complete system of healthcare for your musculoskeletal framework.
We help with such ailments as arthritis, joint strain, tennis elbow, neck pain, sciatica, hip disorders, headaches, whiplash, frozen shoulder and sports injuries, as well as all manner of back complaints. The clinic also has a cranial osteopath, Vivien Hoford, who specialises in the treatment of young children and babies. In addition to osteopathy we also have a sports massage practitioner who works very closely with the osteopathic team to help achieve optimum results.
If you are unsure if we can help you or don't know which treatment option would be the most appropriate for your problem, contact us directly by phone 01276 683025 or email info@camberleyosteopaths.co.uk.

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions.
It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together.
To an osteopath, for your body to work well, its structure must also work well.
So osteopaths work to restore your body to a state of balance, where possible without the use of drugs or surgery.

Osteopaths who choose to specialise in the field of Cranial Osteopathy develop highly trained palpatory skills to detect areas of tension in the body, including within the head, and utilise gentle manipulative techniques to correct these imbalances.
This method of treatment is well-suited for babies, children, pregnant and post-partum women and other adults alike.
The above list is by no means extensive of all the conditions Cranial Osteopaths believe they can help with, but it aids in providing an overview of perhaps some of the most common symptoms individuals seek our help for.

Sports massage is a discipline that not only focuses on the removal of the pain or symptom, but also on trying to resolve any underlying issue i.e. the possible cause of the problem.
Our practitioners will first assess you before using any number of techniques from general massage (the classic effleurage, petrissage and tapotement moves) through to pressure point work and active and passive stretches.
Although sports massage is a discipline many associate with only athletes or sports enthusiasts, this is not the case.
