Baan Sabai Thai Therapy is a small business in the market town of Stamford. Here at Baan Sabai, our philosophy is steeped in traditional Thai massage, centered around the focus of the body's 72,000 energy lines, called 'sen' lines. 10 of these lines are gently pressed and focused on during a Thai massage, to release blocked energy and restore balance to the body.
We offer 'Traditional Thai Yoga' treatments, where rhythmic pressure and stretching are incorporated into this full body massage/treatment. The art of Thai massage was passed down by the country's Buddhist monks over 2000 years ago, where legend has it that Buddha's Doctor started 'Traditional Thai Medicine (TTM), which Thai massage is a part of. The system was shaped by Indian and Chinese traditional medicine and other Asian folk practices in the region, combining herbal and spiritual rituals.
