Hi, my name is Martin Fisher and I am a full time remedial massage therapist based in Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. After leaving school I originally trained in electrical and mechanical engineering and I worked in this field for over 20 years. In 2006 I felt ready for a new challenge so I decided to take up a hobby, and having always had an interest in the human body I decided it might be fun to sign up for a massage therapy course.
After my initial training with the Scottish Massage Schools, I qualified as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist in 2008. At this point I realised there was still a lot to learn about acute and chronic pain conditions and how to relieve them, so I decided to further my training. I continued to study and went on to complete more therapy courses and various workshops with many different teachers.
During this time I was also treating as many clients as I could on a part-time basis. After about 5 years the training started to bring some good results and my desire was now to try to help more people with my massage treatments.
