Rework Massage
An ex-professional footballer at Fulham FC and a keen golfer, Rob himself has first-hand experience of how soft tissue massage can benefit not only your sporting goals and potential, but also your overall wellbeing and energy levels. Rest assured that sports massage is not just for the professional athlete. Our clients range from hairstylists and bricklayers, to taxi drivers and office workers.

Relieving the everyday aches and pains caused by poor posture or repetitive strains can have a noticeably positive impact on your lifestyle. Following treatment, we can give advice on muscle strengthening or exercises, to aid your soft tissue dysfunction.

Sports massage is a deep tissue massage designed to eliminate potential muscular dysfunctions.
It works deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibres and connective tissue, while flushing away any toxins.
It is a more dynamic form of massage compared to a remedial massage.
Regular sessions will increase joint mobility and flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury during exercise.
Rest assured that our sports massage is not just for the professional athlete.
Our clients range from hairstylists and bricklayers, to taxi drivers and office workers.
First things first, what is fascia?
Fascia is an internal connective tissue that wraps around muscles, bones, joints and organs, providing shape and support for the body.
It has the appearance of a very thin spider web, connecting layers of muscle and surrounding all internal body tissues.
Here is a video explaining further.
Although it often goes unrecognised studies have shown that there are at least 6 times as many sensory receptors in our fascial tissues than in the muscles.
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a pain free table based assisted stretching technique.
The skin is drawn upwards through suction in a cup, over a targeted area of the skin.
The cup stays in place for 5 - 15 minutes and is then removed.
This ancient form of alternative medicine treats localised pain, assists in the breakup and re-alignment of deep scar tissue, and softens tight muscles and knots.
With the waste fluid being drawn away these damaged fibres, new healthy circulation rushes to the area allowing fresh oxygen and nutrients to the area, encouraging faster recovery.
This a fantastic alternative medicine to release tension in the muscles and break up adhesions.
Following treatment, I can give advice on muscle strengthening or stretching exercises, to ensure you get the maximum benefits from your treatment.
Exercises can be tailored to fit around your lifestyle for your convenience.
The purpose of stretching is to increase the length of a certain muscle or muscles.
Some of the benefits include: improved flexibility, reduced risk of injury, maintained muscle tone, reduced stiffness and tension.
All advice and exercises will be tailored to your specific needs.
